The B.S. in Health Education and Promotion focuses on knowledge and skills associated with careers in health promotion and education in health-care, community, and worksite settings. Key courses include health content (e.g., healthy lifestyles, human sexuality, substance abuse, stress management, nutrition) and professional coursework including program planning and evaluation, health coaching for behavior change, community health, health assessment, worksite health promotion, epidemiology, study of human diseases, health media, research in health sciences, and health instruction. The degree culminates with a semester-long capstone senior internship experience.
