The major in Health and Human Performance, Public Health concentration provides students the opportunity to prepare for entry level public health or health education specialist positions in hospitals, clinics, schools, businesses, government, and nonprofits. Students will engage in various experiential learning opportunities where they will apply what they are learning in class during community and campus events. At the end of the program, students will be able to apply for and complete a semester-long internship as part of the program, and they will be encouraged to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) exam to expand their public health credentials.
