The University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College) health promotion major (BS) or minor is your gateway degree to the public health and healthcare industries. We offer an Allied Health concentration if your focus is pre-clinical health studies, or a Public and Community Health concentration if you are interested in population and community-based approaches to health. We individualize your course plan based on your career goals, offer resume building internships, and prepare you to pursue certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist. You will explore health care at a broad level by studying the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, mental, and environmental factors that influence the health of individuals and communities.
