Housed within the Master of Arts Online Program, the Certificate in Health Education is a graduate certificate that prepares students for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential through extensive study of the Seven Areas of Responsibilities for Health Educators. Union offers 25 health education elective hours that are designed to meet the requirements needed to sit for the CHES exam. Students also have the option of a 15 credit hour certificate with proof of a NCHEC transcript review indicating that they only need a few courses to meet the eligibility requirements to sit for the CHES exam.
