Students completing this program will receive a B.A. degree in Community & Public Health and are
prepared for careers in health promotion, health behavior, community health, public health,
international health and wellness. Health educators may be employed in voluntary and private health
agencies (i.e. American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, corporate and university
wellness settings); hospitals; federal governmental agencies (i.e. Center for Disease Control);
international agencies(i.e. Peace Corps and World Health Organization); and in local governmental
agencies including state, county, local, and city health departments. Upon completion of the degree,
the student is eligible to take the National CHES Examination.
